The Aqua Productions Race team put 5 boats on the water to support the event and had one boat in reserve. We had 10 team member volunteers, a team photographer and a few friends and family kicking in. Our team setup/tore down the bouys for the event, helped manage the pits and ran the event from the water side. Everything went very well and we got really lucky on the weather. We spent 7 hours on-site getting ready Friday and never got rained on. Our alarm clocks went off at 4:30 AM and we were in place before 5:30 for a 6 am start. The weather held off on Saturday and despite some gusty conditions, was a perfect morning. It's interesting to note that Alum Creek averaged less than 12 inch chop for the 4 hours of testing with 15 to 20 mph winds. This site is definitely ideal for this type of event and we hope that the good overall event experience helps makes this a future APBA race site.
