I'm looking forward to breaking in the new SK-333 motor and checking out Rotten's S-07 Blue Chips

Recent tidbits
Well, the 100th Gold Cup is behind us and was an outstanding success with the one big exception, it 's not REALLY behind us yet. Due to 30+ MPH winds, you'll get the chance to see the 100th running of the race again, next year. We are now off to Waterford. Belive it or not we are mostly going to meet up with my waterskiing friends and see how the new format works running a world class ski tournament along with the entertaining hydros. With my family excited and in tow, all three of my loves convene at one place means I can't go wrong. It's Wed. and I don't even know which boats we are pulling up there, but we will running something and I plan on packing my ski gear as well. Cool weekend to look forward to. -Kevin

Recent Additions:
We have been busy working on a few new things. First off, I have a new job as a Area Manager for Rels who is mostly owned by Well Fargo and First American. My region which covers most of MI,Ohio,Indiana,KY, and W.VA, is a hotspot and will be sure keeping me busy as I look over 200 appraisers and their work. I am fortunate to be able to continue to find time to contribute to boat racing both on and off the water. We have the S-07 Blue Chips ready and may be able to test her out at Chautauqua Lakes Regatta where we will have a few flat bottoms running as well. The F-333 is itching to get wet and I think I might as well give a good exercise. I want to run the F-333 next to the F-37 Jones at Celina and Wheeling. The GNH-33 is in need of a about 3-5 grand worth of motor fixing and she would be back on the water. I would like to have her in Waterford, Celina, Hillsboro and maybe the Streak. The SK-333 is getting a hot little SBC put in her this week. MANY thanks goes Rotten Rob for the extra push on getting the right things done to her over the winter. I expect the Miss Mandella will be a hit on the local lakes, rivers and any event that offers flat bottoms a good chance to run.In the meantime, I am heading up to Celina to float around on my perhaps favorite boat the 454 Barefoot Nautique where I can ski and float around and enjoy the very best of boating.

Flatbottom Jamboree
We are planning a simple get together on Grand Lake in Celina, Ohio over Memorial Weekend. I expect there to be only a few who can make the first inaugural run of the flatties on Grand Lake in short notice but let me know if you are game. Kevin K. 614-395-7547

Hot Road Boat Shop
I added a new section to the site called Hot Rod Boat Shop. This is a cool new location just north of Columbus,Ohio where owner, Steve Phillips has created a museum of nostalgic flatbottom boats. There is an interesting balance between hull and motor combination on most of these cherished and original pieces. Check 'em out...
